So this is the time of year when I guess everyone is looking back on 09.  I recently went to a great party where everyone who came had to bring the 10 favourite photos from 2009.  Each person showed their images and then told the story behind it.  There were a lot of us who didn’t know each other and even those who did learned some fascinating things about their friends that they never knew – if not for that photo.  Picking my list was hard because as a photographer there are so many favourites for many different reasons.  It has inspired me to put together two top ten lists to share with you on the blog.  One list of our personal work and another from our professional work.  Might take us a little while so I thought I would get a jump on Aaron and post a couple that I found while making my list for the party.    I had a border collie named Bandit and a coop full of chickens when I was a kid. Bandits favourite thing was herding us around when we played outside.  Last September when I did the Red Leaf workshop on a tour of the Saltspring Cheese Company.There were three dogs that were just loving moving these chickens back and forth.  We were there to take photos of cheese but a few of us spent most of the time tracking the dogs. The morning sun and the look of sheer pleasure on this dog and the attempting-to-be-stealthy chickens just make me love it.
