Oh my things have been busy around here!  We had quite a few sessions late in December and then Christmas orders hit and now it is 2011 and I have negelcted this little blog just a wee bit! So we have lots to share and thought we would start with this sweet little session with Ella and her mum and dad.  It was a pretty chilly day that brought out the rosy cheeks but Ella is such a fast mover that the chill didn’t seem to bother her at all.  We played in the garden, had a little tea party, read a story, and changed into a pretty Christmas dress for some holiday shots.  This little family was so fantastic in the cold weather and we just let Ella run and play as we tried to keep up.  If anyone needs a post Christmas bootcamp just try photographing an active toddler!  We really loved our time with this family and wish them all the best in the New Year!

While we were in Kelowna for Danya and Aaron’s wedding we also spent a whole bunch of time with some great little people and their parents for some family sessions. This session with Pabby, Oriole and their three lovely girlies was special for us as I have the treat of being called Auntie Emmy as these three girls are the best friends of my three little nieces!! We met up with them one morning in late September at park  in Kelowna to get some soft morning light in the almost autumn grass.  Aaron and I have been digging the low sunlight in meadows look lately.  We had such a great time trying to keep up to little Myah who is always on the go, catching sweet Charlotte when she wasn’t too bashful, and listening to Camille who always has the funniest things to say and of course found a little ladybug to take care of.  Thanks for a great morning with a beautiful family!!  We will have more family posts from our Kelowna sessions soon!

Ayla Rocks!!

While we were in Kelowna we had the great pleasure of doing a photoshoot with our little friend Ayla at the Gellatly Nut Farm.  We hadn’t seen her since her first shoot with us last September and wow has she grown up into a precious little character.  If interviewed we are pretty sure her favourite things are her stuffies – especially Sock Monkey, painting her face with flower pollen, rockin’ out in her mini pink converse allstars, and based on facebook some hardcore dress-up sessions. She comes by the tutu and theatrics honestly as her mama runs the Lake Country School of Dance in Lake County, BC. We just let her run around doing her thing as we tried to keep up! Thank-you to Ayla for a very fun session and we can’t wait to see you again!!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to our blog!  This is our first posting and it is fitting that it is on the Power To Be Adventure Therapy Society as our mutual involvement with this great organization is one of the ways we first met.  We have been providing images for PTB’s events and promotions for a few years now and we also have the great pleasure of spending our thursday afternoons with with the kids of the Fiddlehead program.  Recently we spent a sunny afternoon with Mary and her son along with all the farm animals out at Mary’s Therapeutic Farm and Sanctuary.  This is a beautiful property located above Goldstream Provincial Park dedicated to connecting people with the healing spirit of animals.  It was a really special day watching the kids overcome fears, completely embrace the animals, and even enjoy collecting horse muffins!  We busted out our new lens baby and here are the results.
